Refund policy

VERSION 2026.09 · IN FORCE FROM

In plain words

Memberships are sold and billed by Tebex, and refunds go through Tebex. You can cancel at any time, and the membership runs to the end of the period you paid for. In the first 14 days you can cancel and get your money back, less the days you already used. If something you paid for does not work, you are owed a fix or a refund.

This summary is here to be readable. Where it and the document below disagree, the document is what applies.

1. Who handles payments

Tebex is the merchant of record for Scrap Racket memberships. It takes the payment, handles billing and renewals, and processes cancellations, refunds and chargebacks under its own checkout terms. Scrap Racket never sees your card details.

Tebex emails a receipt for every payment. The receipt links to the Tebex payment portal, where you cancel a subscription and ask for a refund.

2. What you are buying

Supporter, VIP and VIP+ are monthly subscriptions to a digital service: queue priority, cosmetic titles and badges, Discord roles and priority support, as listed for each tier on the store. Benefits go to the SteamID confirmed at checkout. A membership never includes items, Scrap or an in-game advantage, so a refund never takes anything away from your game.

3. Cancelling a subscription

Cancel at any time in the Tebex payment portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal. The benefits carry on to the end of the period you have already paid for, then expire.

Cancelling after the first 14 days does not refund the rest of the current month, except in the cases below.

4. Your 14-day right to cancel

If you live in the UK or the EU, you have 14 days from your first payment for a membership to cancel it without giving a reason.

A membership starts as soon as the payment is confirmed, because you ask for it to start straight away when you buy it. If you cancel within the 14 days, you get your money back, less a proportionate amount for the days the membership was already active.

The 14 days apply to the first payment for a subscription, not to each monthly renewal. Tebex, as the seller, applies this right under its own terms. If a refund you believe you are owed is refused, tell us through the support centre and we will take it up with Tebex.

5. When something does not work

If a benefit you paid for does not work — queue priority not applied, a title or role that never arrives — tell us through the support centre. If we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, you can have a refund for the period it did not work.

Restarts, short outages and scheduled wipes are part of how the servers run and are not a fault in the membership. A longer outage is looked at case by case.

6. Bans

A membership does not protect anyone from the rules. A ban for breaking them does not entitle you to a refund for the time you cannot use, and the subscription keeps renewing until you cancel it, so cancel it in the Tebex payment portal.

If a ban is overturned on appeal, we ask Tebex to refund the membership for the time the ban lasted.

7. Chargebacks

Please ask for a refund before going to your bank. A chargeback reverses the payment, the membership ends when Tebex tells us, and Tebex may refuse future payments from you.

Opening a chargeback is not a breach of the rules and does not on its own lead to a ban from the game servers.

8. After a refund

A refunded membership ends when the refund goes through. Queue priority and in-game titles are removed at the next membership synchronisation with the servers, and badges and Discord roles are removed with them. Nothing you earned in the game is affected.

9. If a server or the service closes

A membership works across every Scrap Racket server, so closing one server while others stay open is not grounds for a refund. If the whole service closes, renewals are stopped and you get a refund for the unused part of your current paid period.

10. How to ask

  1. For a refund or a cancellation, use the Tebex payment portal linked from your receipt.
  2. For a benefit that does not work, a ban, or a refund Tebex refused, use the support centre and choose the payment or membership problem, or email [email protected].
  3. Include your SteamID and the transaction reference from the Tebex receipt. Never send card details to anyone.

11. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy takes away your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

Payments and refunds are processed by Tebex, not by Scrap Racket. Refund requests go through the Tebex portal, and Scrap Racket never sees your card details.
