Quarries & pump jacks
Your own Mining Quarry or Pump Jack, bought with Scrap at the Exchange and set down inside your base. It runs on diesel, and it can be raided like the rest of the base.
Buying one
- MINING QUARRY
- 5,000 Scrap at the Exchange, one per wipe. Stone and metal ore.
- PUMP JACK
- 7,500 Scrap at the Exchange, one per wipe. Crude oil.
- DIESEL
- The fuel both run on. The Exchange’s Excavator Fuel Barrel offer sells three barrels from Operator tier.
Placing it
/drillCarry the quarry or pump jack, look at open ground within 8 metres, and type /drill. Placing it the normal way follows the same rules.- Only where you are authorised on the tool cupboard that covers the spot.
- On bare, fairly level terrain, not under water.
- Not in a safe zone, a no-build area or the holding facility.
- At least 15 metres from any other quarry or pump jack.
- One quarry and one pump jack standing per player.
- The item is used up only once it stands. If it is refused, you keep it.
What it produces
The same deposit as this map’s monument Stone Quarry and pump jack, measured on the running server: stone and metal ore from a quarry, crude oil from a pump jack. Diesel burns at the vanilla rate, and a personal quarry does not run dry.
Picking it up
/drill pickupLook at it within 8 metres. Anyone authorised on the cupboard that covers it can pick it up. What was inside goes to your inventory, or at your feet if it is full, and the quarry or pump jack comes back as an item.
What takes it away
- Raiders. It is part of the base and comes down like the rest of it.
- No cupboard. One left without a cupboard covering it for 24 hours is removed, and whatever was inside is dropped.
- The wipe. A new map takes every quarry and pump jack with it.
Quarry and pump jack output never counts toward a leaderboard and never gets a leader perk.
